Palm Health Resources is Hiring a Histotechnologist Near Fort Worth, TX

As a Histologist you will be working with a team that is passionate and supportive and collectively work together to see things through.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a Bachelor or Associates degree in Applied Science from an accredited school that offers appropriate training.
  • Must have completed appropriate clinical rotation in a clinical laboratory setting.
  • Must have at least 3 years of Histology experience
  • Must have ASCP HT/HLT certification.

Duties:

  • Adheres to the laboratory’s quality control policies, documents all quality control activities, instrument and procedural calibrations and maintenance performed.
  • Demonstrates ability to troubleshoot and correct problems while also notifying the technical supervisor.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-past, quality driven environment.
  • Communication – Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
  • Teamwork – Commitment to the successful achievement of team and organizational goals through a desire to participate with and help other members of the team.
  • Performs microtomy and staining of paraffin embedded anatomic pathology specimens daily. Maintains diagnostic viability of all specimens and ensures correct patient labeling. Routinely checks and verifies that surgical case numbers of match blocks and slides; prints barcoded labels as appropriate.
